Southern Cross University has campuses in Coffs Harbour, Lismore and the Gold Coast. Ben Graydon is the Campus Services Supervisor and is very pleased with the Jacques Emergency Help Point System the university has installed.
The model of intercom used on the campus is the VSL-351QS+ which features a self-testing button. This means that the intercom’s call button can be tested remotely without the need for a technician to physically interact with the intercom.
They’ve found the Jacques system to be highly reliable, flexible and simple to use. The university boasts 30 emergency audio intercoms across 3 buildings, with 9 in Lismore and 21 in the new campus at the Gold Coast.
The new Gold Coast campus building is pictured here and was designed by GHDWoodhead. All of the Jacques intercoms are configured to contact the security gatehouse which is operated by security staff 24/7.
